[F5][R-serise] USB Clean Install 방법

< USB port 활성화 >

R시리즈는 기본적으로 USB port 가 disable 되어 있다.

AOM 모드로 진입하여 USB port를 enable 해주어야 한다.

 

 

 

U옵션으로 진입하여 1번 Enable 진행

그리고R 옵션으로 재부팅 진행

 

< USB 만들기 >

gui에서 이미지를 import 하면, /var/import/staging 폴더에 업로드 됨

이후 아래의 명령어로 USB 만들기.

 

아래는 1.5.1 버전으로 생성 예시.

dd if=F5OS-A-1.5.1-12283.R5R10.iso of=/dev/sda bs=1M oflag=sync status=progress

 

< USB  Clean Install >

부팅시 b 버튼을 눌러 boot location 을 USB로 변경

옵션에서 Install F5OS-A 1 옵션 선택.

설치가 완료 되면 아무 버튼이나 눌러 장비 재시작 진행.

Clean installation using a USB flash drive or USB DVD

When you perform a clean installation of 

F5OS

 software on your system using a USB flash drive or USB DVD, you must first enable the front panel USB port on your system.

For security purposes, the USB port on the system is disabled by default. You can use Always-On Management (AOM) to enable the front panel USB port. For more information, see the platform guide for your appliance model at support.f5.com/csp/knowledge-center/hardware.

Enable the front-panel USB port

The front-panel USB port on the platform is disabled by default, but you can use Always-On Management (AOM) to enable the USB port.

Create a bootable USB flash drive

Before you create a bootable USB flash drive, be sure that you have used Always-On Management (AOM) to enable the USB port on your system, as the USB port is disabled by default. Also, be sure that you have copied the ISO images to 

images/staging/

 on your system.

You can use an existing F5 rSeries system to create a bootable USB flash drive that contains an F5OS-A software ISO image. For information about using a USB DVD, refer to knowledge article K13117 on MyF5.

You can now use this USB flash drive to boot F5 rSeries systems, as needed.

Perform a clean installation of F5OS software

You can use a USB flash drive or USB DVD to perform a clean installation of F5OS software onto the system from the CLI.

After the installation completes and the system is fully rebooted to the Host OS, you can remove the USB flash drive or USB DVD.

It might take 10-15 minutes for the system to fully boot after a clean installation.
